12. The Path of the New Beloved
THE PATH OF SEARCH, Chapter 12.
The month of Qudrat (Power) 176 BE
Memorising the 12th Paragraph of The Tablet of the True Seeker
As each chapter and Paragraph of the Tablet has come into synchronisation with the Badíʿ calendar, a screen shot of the month of Qudrat introduces this chapter, taken from a beautiful arrangement of the calendar, with each month AND the whole 19 months of 361 days arranged into a hexagram, by New York Bahá’í Friend Leland Wright, and available online as a pdf or hard copy decorative wall calendar…
Wherefore, O my friend,
It behooveth Us to exert the highest endeavour
to attain unto that City, and,
by the grace of God and His loving-kindness,
rend asunder the “veils of glory”;
so that, with inflexible steadfastness,
we may sacrifice our drooping souls
in the path of the New Beloved.
We should with tearful eyes,
fervently and repeatedly
implore Him to grant us the favour of that grace.
That city is none other than the Word of God
revealed in every age and dispensation.
In the days of Moses it was
the Pentateuch,
in the days of Jesus
the Gospel;
in the days of Muhammad,
the Messenger of God
the Qur’an:
in this day
the Bayan,
and in the dispensation
of Him Whom God will make manifest
His own Book –
The Book
unto which all the Books
of former Dispensations must needs be referred,
the Book which standeth amongst them all
transcendent and supreme.
1 Qudrat (Power) 176 BE 4 November 2019 CE
Coming to the end of a weekend in which I had a massive catch up on REM sleep I have another 9 days to complete memorisation of the Penultimate Paragraph, also the Penultimate Chapter, so no hurry at all! The last 8 day run while valiantly labouring in my quest to become wedded to that city, had been generally bereft of dreams, as the Emergency department was quite busy, but then having the weekend off I had my first sleep during the night hours, in total darkness, and the dreams were extremely vivid on both nights.
I now understand that the first night was definitely a catch up process, as I had witnessed with lots of patients over the years to whom I introduced the sleep hormone Melatonin, and witnessed sometimes nightmares at first as people caught up on unintegrated experiences they should have processed years ago, so my dreams were not exactly nightmarish, but I did find myself over and over, running, dragging my suitcase on seized-up wheels behind me, to catch the next Air New Zealand flight, one of which I remembered as being Teal coloured , just as they were back in the 1950s and 60s… I always ended up catching the flights, sometimes miraculously, and in one of the dreams I remembered a hostess opening up a tunnel with an ascending stairway, up which I dragged my suitcase, and made the flight by the skin of my teeth!
Waking up from the long night of dreams running to catch flights, I felt a huge gratitude to the Beloved in His or Her different forms and Names for the help and assistance helping me to get on the flights, and related this to the huge effort I had been putting in every Badí month for the last 12 months to get the next chapter done by the Feast of the next month. I was indeed starting to feel like one of they that valiantly labour, and I was starting to feel a bit tired on this journey, and happy to realise that this was the 2nd last paragraph. So before going through Paragraph 11 one more time and then posting it, I took some time to read another chapter from that other expression of the Beloved in Marzieh Gail’s book Dawn over Mt Hira, which was successful again, a couple of times, in taking the emotional level to an ignited flame in the heart and tears in the eyes... sometimes of sorrow and sometimes of laughter at her subtle and quirky sense of humour. In her essay in Section IV, Bright Day of the Soul, entitled “That Day in Tabriz”, she wrote about the impact that the coming of the Báb had in Persia, and how it also fulfilled a prophecy that 1000 years would pass after the last Imam in 260AH, before the coming of the Mahdi in 1260AH…
Of the eighteenth century in Europe, William Bolitho has written “Europe had locked itself in and lost the key … Imagine an explosion in a locked room…” That would be a fair description of the coming of the Báb in Persia. Persia then was a spiritual prison, blacker than a Bastille, but men were looking for release and light. Tradition had been handed down, telling them not to lose hope, because a great day was in store. There was a verse in the Qur’an, in the Chapter of Adoration, and it said: It is God Who hath created the heavens and the earth… Ye have not patron or intercessor besides Him. Will ye not therefore consider? He governeth all things from heaven even unto the earth; hereafter shall they return unto Him, on the day whose length shall be a thousand years…
And yes indeed it was the Báb who came after that 1000 year period, which we remember was 1000 lunar years in the Muslim calendar, and which He then, with His divine knowledge, replaced with His Badí Wondrous calendar, upon which I received an important and interesting update from the Quote of the Day on His 200th Birthday, which was followed by some additional reading: The Báb established the Badí Calendar to account for the new era starting with Year 1 in 1844 B.E. (Bahá'í Era). In the Badí Calendar, the Báb divided the years into cycles beginning with the year B.E. 1, with 19 days, 19 months with cycles of 19 years (akin to a decade which is 10 years in the Gregorian calendar or 100 years equalling a century). Much more information on the Badí Calendar and how it relates to other calendars can be read in an article published in The Brilliant Star January/February 1990. Keeping Track of Time
It was definitely a sign that took me back to the last sentence of the last month: Once in about a thousand years shall this City be renewed and re-adorned… and also a sign that took me to focus on some examples of this phenomenon detailed in the last sentence of Words for this month… That city is none other than the Word of God revealed in every age and dispensation. In the days of Moses it was the Pentateuch, in the days of Jesus the Gospel; in the days of Muhammad, the Messenger of God, the Qur’an; in this day the Bayan, and in the dispensation of Him Whom God will make manifest His own Book – The Book unto which all the Books of former Dispensations must needs be referred, the Book which standeth amongst them all transcendent and supreme.
This verse listed all of the Abrahamic prophets, in the Ark of Prophets that occupied the Middle East, so with Abraham Himself there were also Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, the Bab, and Him Whom God would make Manifest; Bahá’u’lláh the Blessed Beauty Himself, coming to 6 prophets over approximately 4000 solar years, or 7 if you count Elijah the Tishbite, with perhaps a few hundred years between Abraham and Moses, another approx. 1300 to Christ, about 600 to Muhammad, another 1200 or so to the Bab, then another 19 to Bahá’u’lláh. I remembered being impressed reading, I think it was ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s Words, on the intensity of the Fire of this 1000-year period squeezed into 6 years of ministry by the Báb and 19 years of suffering by the Bábís.
So, during those former dispensations, the secrets were transmitted through the Messianic Spirit to people of each of those times, and William Henry in his books and videos brought forward many beautiful examples of art work that kept the secret teachings alive. We saw an example of the Tibetan Rainbow body in the last chapter, and the Russian Christian art is also very interesting, preserving secrets of the ancient ascension teachings, some of them reflecting the knowledge we have gathered on this Path of Search in the Tablet of the True Seeker.
For example, in this one we see an example of the serpent of purification, with usually about 21 rings on the serpent, which WH referred to as celestial toll-gates where the seeker has to pay a price or pass a test. These would correspond to the 36 different conditions required for the detached wayfarer or sincere seeker to call himself a true seeker, but it brought to mind our beloved Baha’i conductor of souls and teacher Tom Price, who in one talk apparently identified about 21 requirements in the TOTTS, so he was probably more on the mark than this humble seeker. In any case we see a typical “layer-cake” arrangement of the Universe, with on the bottom level what look like fallen angels in their jail cells, then the world of humanity with a doorway though a burning hell, into the serpent path of ascent, eventually emerging at the level of the Abode of the Christ, and then there is another level above that in this artwork, possibly God the Father?
I also had to remember all the other Arks of Prophets not mentioned in this paragraph, for example those of India and the Far East about Whom there were also stories about them living for hundreds of Years. From the examples given by Bahá’u’lláh in this paragraph on the Abrahamic prophets, we can see that this period of 1000 years was an approximate one, but one that resonated in many other scriptures, with one good example being the Words of Thoth the Atlantean I mentioned last month.
The Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean came to me in a very synchronous manner, about which I wrote in my first book Crystal Mission, and since then there have been more and more astonishing signs, tokens, revelations and splendours from this Beloved set of tablets, to which now with my new eye ear heart and mind I was even more attracted than before to its fragrance, and perceiving, I hoped, with a discernment so great that it will discriminate between truth and falsehood even as it doth distinguish between the sun and shadow that this book was of the highest truth. Looking up the copy I had transcribed and hyperlinked years ago I found TTA talking about this subject in the 1st Paragraph of the 1st Tablet, as he addressed His words, translated by Michael Doreal, to the men of Khem, Egypt, before going down (and up) to the Halls of Amenti for what sounded like it was going to be a bit longer than His usual hundred years …
I, Thoth, the Atlantean, master of mysteries,
keeper of records, mighty king, magician,
living from generation to generation,
being about to pass into the halls of Amenti,
set down for the guidance of those that are to come after,
these records of the mighty wisdom of Great Atlantis.
In the great city of KEOR, on the island of UNDAL,
in a time far past, I began this incarnation;
not as the little men of the present age
did the mighty ones of Atlantis live and die
but rather from aeon to aeon,
did they renew their life in the Halls of Amenti,
where the river of life flows eternally onward.
A hundred times ten have I descended
the dark way that led into light,
and as many times have I ascended
from the darkness into the light,
my strength and power renewed.
Now for a time I descend
and the men of KHEM (EGYPT) shall know me no more,
but in a time yet unborn will I rise again, mighty and potent,
requiring an accounting of those left behind me.
Then beware, O men of Khem,
if ye have falsely betrayed my teaching
for I shall cast ye down from your high estate
into the darkness of the caves from whence ye came.
Betray not my secrets to the men of the North,
or the men of the South, lest my curse fall upon ye.
Remember, and heed my words, for surely will I return again,
and require of thee that which ye guard,
aye, even from beyond time and from beyond death will I return,
rewarding or punishing as ye have requited your trust.
Later on in the Tablets, TTA specified that he remained in the Halls bathing in the flame of the Flower of Life for about a hundred years in every thousand, on average, and therefore if we count how many years He is actually talking about here, it is a hundred times 10 or a thousand times he had descended, about once every thousand years, so we are talking about a period of a Million years that he kept his contract with the Dweller to not desert humankind but remain to help raise them back to their true nature as beings of light. Here I am reminded of the Blessed Beauty’s Words in Gleanings XXVI, in which He talks about an even greater vista of time up to 10 Million years: Ten thousand Prophets, each a Moses, are thunderstruck upon the Sinai of their search at His forbidding voice, “Thou shalt never behold Me!”; whilst a myriad Messengers, each as great as Jesus, stand dismayed upon their heavenly thrones by the interdiction, “Mine Essence thou shalt never apprehend!”
My new mind then took me to some more readings I had been thrilled to find in William Henry’s book The Watchers, about the Book of Enoch, and His times… in the Section of this book entitled Enoch, The Translated Man… p218: I write the words of WH in green, and the Words of Enoch in blue: This translation is described in 2 (Slavonic) Enoch, where he undergoes a profound metamorphosis or transformation into an angel: And the Lord said to Michael, take Enoch and take off his earthly garments and anoint him with good oil, and clothe him in glorious garments. And Michael took off from me my garments and anointed me with good oil. And the appearance of the oil was more resplendent than a great light and its richness like sweet dew, and its fragrance like myrrh, shining like a ray of the sun. And I looked at myself, and I was like one of the glorious ones and there was no difference (9;17-19). WH then goes on to describe how Enoch transformed into an Archangel and after this became known as Metatron and “Knower of Secrets” and was given the responsibility of transmitting or disclosing secrets to humanity…
From page 241 on WH goes on to the fact that Enoch’s story was an accurate reflection of the story of a Mesopotamian King by the name of Enmeduranki, or En-men-dur-ana, who was taken to heaven by the sun god, Shamash, and Adad, the Rainmaker, and given a golden throne, indicating a metamorphosis into one of the gods and membership in their divine assembly. In the Descent of Ishtar, the Annunaki are seated on golden thrones. Shamash bore the title “Lord of Judgement”. His throne also symbolizes Justice and the judgment of the soul. Shamash is portrayed riding in the heavens upon his throne mounted to a twisting or spiraling serpent. Perhaps this twirling ‘serpent rope ship’ is how he took Enmeduranki to heaven. As Enoch is the 7th and penultimate patriarch in the Biblical pre-flood lineage, so Enmeduranki is the 7th and penultimate King of Sumer in the Sumerian King list, therefore probably one and the same ancient king priest of this Messianic lineage whose members ruled for periods of about a thousand years.
Likewise, in the Mesopotamian legends, the first of the Mesopotamian sages was Adapa, obviously relating to Adam, and reading about these legends casts a lot more light on the Biblical story, and the hidden teachings behind the words, of the Throne in Heaven and on earth (The Merkaba Rainbow body) and the recurring use of Adam’s Rainbow cloak (also relating to the Rainbow body). Then finding the origin of these legends in the ancient Egyptian glyphs shed even more light, and even the secrets related to the plasma technology, about which, taking on board the warning words of TTA in this paragraph, and the Blessed Beauty in the previous paragraph, I am disinclined to further research for these pages.
In other words, I am increasingly feeling that this writing in the Penultimate Paragraph, resonating with Táhirih the female Penultimate Letter of the Living, and Bahíyyih Khánum entitled"Varaqiy-i-'Ulyá"or "Greatest Holy Leaf", the female Penultimate of the 24 Elders, is quickly coming to the end of the Trail of the True Seeker. Then on the Flight pathways moving on, the secrets of Thoth Enoch, translated into Metatron, and many other Seraphim, will be found and whispered from heart to heart, lit up by the Undying fire of the Burning Bush in the heart, powered by the Etimasia kit, the Ark of the Covenant for this dispensation, residing in the cleansed and purified glowing crimson, carnelian, and golden yellow hues of the three lower chakras of a renewed humanity…
So the real learning was to go inside, but it was still interesting to look at the ancient artwork and perhaps the most revealing in terms of recovering the angelic technology that will help us to a new age of harmonious peaceful civilisation with the advanced “Atlantean” or “Angelic” technology, like the Ark of the Covenant or the Tuaoi Stone, or even the resurrected Osiris device, is the wonderful ancient Egyptian stone carvings, in which we see the technology handled as much by male god forms as female goddess forms as exemplified by this beautiful carving of Horus and Hathor:
Although it is incredibly interesting to research and be guided to find this real true history from the dust of a hundred centuries of warfare, we must however also consider Bahá’u’lláh’s Words about this in Gleanings LXXXVII where He said in Paragraph 1: And now regarding thy question, "How is it that no records are to be found concerning the Prophets that have preceded Adam, the Father of Mankind, or of the kings that lived in the days of those Prophets?" Know thou that the absence of any reference to them is no proof that they did not actually exist. That no records concerning them are now available, should be attributed to their extreme remoteness, as well as to the vast changes which the earth hath undergone since their time.
The Blessed Beauty concluded in the last 2 paragraphs of this Gleaning: Mention hath been made in certain books of a deluge which caused all that existed on earth, historical records as well as other things, to be destroyed. Moreover, many cataclysms have occurred which have effaced the traces of many events. Furthermore, among existing historical records differences are to be found, and each of the various peoples of the world hath its own account of the age of the earth and of its history. Some trace their history as far back as eight thousand years, others as far as twelve thousand years. To any one that hath read the book of Jük it is clear and evident how much the accounts given by the various books have differed. Please God thou wilt turn thine eyes towards the Most Great Revelation, and entirely disregard these conflicting tales and traditions.
To my (new) mind then, turning mine eyes towards the Most Great Revelation, it is far better, instead of focusing on the conflicting stories of ancient times, to instead contemplate what Bahá’u’lláh says in Gleanings LXXXI about what happens to we humans after death on our path ahead, which is coming up more or less very quickly for all of us! These divine Words are so inspiring and sum up the real situation in this shadow world and how it compares to the next, that I feel I need to transcribe the whole tablet, to my mind one of the most important ones to have in mind as we approach the gateway to the Worlds of God at the end of the Path of the True Seeker:
And now concerning thy question regarding the soul of man and its survival after death. Know thou of a truth that the soul, after its separation from the body, will continue to progress until it attaineth the presence of God, in a state and condition which neither the revolution of ages and centuries, nor the changes and chances of this world, can alter. It will endure as long as the Kingdom of God, His sovereignty, His dominion and power will endure. It will manifest the signs of God and His attributes and will reveal His loving kindness and bounty. The movement of My Pen is stilled when it attempteth to befittingly describe the loftiness and glory of so exalted a station. The honor with which the Hand of Mercy will invest the soul is such as no tongue can adequately reveal, nor any other earthly agency describe. Blessed is the soul which, at the hour of its separation from the body, is sanctified from the vain imaginings of the peoples of the world. Such a soul liveth and moveth in accordance with the Will of its Creator, and entereth the all-highest Paradise.
The Maids of Heaven, inmates of the loftiest mansions, will circle around it, and the Prophets of God and His chosen ones will seek its companionship. With them that soul will freely converse, and will recount unto them that which it hath been made to endure in the path of God, the Lord of all worlds. If any man be told that which hath been ordained for such a soul in the worlds of God, the Lord of the throne on high and of earth below, his whole being will instantly blaze out in his great longing to attain that most exalted, that sanctified and resplendent station….
The nature of the soul after death can never be described, nor is it meet and permissible to reveal its whole character to the eyes of men. The Prophets and Messengers of God have been sent down for the sole purpose of guiding mankind to the straight Path of Truth. The purpose underlying Their revelation hath been to educate all men, that they may, at the hour of death, ascend, in the utmost purity and sanctity and with absolute detachment, to the throne of the Most High. The light which these souls radiate is responsible for the progress of the world and the advancement of its peoples. They are like unto leaven which leaveneth the world of being, and constitute the animating force through which the arts and wonders of the world are made manifest. Through them the clouds rain their bounty upon men, and the earth bringeth forth its fruits. All things must needs have a cause, a motive power, an animating principle. These souls and symbols of detachment have provided, and will continue to provide, the supreme moving impulse in the world of being.
The world beyond is as different from this world as this world is different from that of the child while still in the womb of its mother. When the soul attaineth the Presence of God, it will assume the form that best befitteth its immortality and is worthy of its celestial habitation. Such an existence is a contingent and not an absolute existence, inasmuch as the former is preceded by a cause, whilst the latter is independent thereof. Absolute existence is strictly confined to God, exalted be His glory. Well is it with them that apprehend this truth. Wert thou to ponder in thine heart the behavior of the Prophets of God thou wouldst assuredly and readily testify that there must needs be other worlds besides this world. The majority of the truly wise and learned have, throughout the ages, as it hath been recorded by the Pen of Glory in the Tablet of Wisdom, borne witness to the truth of that which the holy Writ of God hath revealed.
Even the materialists have testified in their writings to the wisdom of these divinely-appointed Messengers, and have regarded the references made by the Prophets to Paradise, to hell fire, to future reward and punishment, to have been actuated by a desire to educate and uplift the souls of men. Consider, therefore, how the generality of mankind, whatever their beliefs or theories, have recognized the excellence, and admitted the superiority, of these Prophets of God. These Gems of Detachment are acclaimed by some as the embodiments of wisdom, while others believe them to be the mouthpiece of God Himself. How could such Souls have consented to surrender themselves unto their enemies if they believed all the worlds of God to have been reduced to this earthly life? Would they have willingly suffered such afflictions and torments as no man hath ever experienced or witnessed?
The second night of my weekend off I also had a huge night of dreams, not as stressed as the previous night, as perhaps I had caught up on the integration process and now had more restful sleep. I was half expecting that I would have a night of nightmares, as after being pure vegan for a couple of months at least, I weakened and bought some crumbed fish fillets from the supermarket. The dreams were actually really nice, all about building a huge house which was a house of healing and prayer, and had lots of carvings, even some on the floor I could feel with my bare feet. Then I had a new level of the dream time when I woke and found I could stay in the dream, even while awake, which I checked several times by opening my eyes and confirming that I was in the world of dust. When I got up, however, I had a VERY painful left hip, running down to my foot, which I knew very clearly was because of the lapse in the diet, which brought home some more words I had discovered in WH’s book The Watchers about the ancient Essenes.
On page 196 he wrote about how the Essenes split from the Zadokite lineage of knowledge, and took on some of the Zoroastrian knowledge, believing that Evil did not come from Adam and Eve (as the Zadokites believed) but from the Fallen Angels who had been the Watchers. One sin he specified was that the Nephilim offspring stopped eating the Manna from God, and became cannibals, developing a taste for human flesh. The white cloaked Essenes believed that after the flood the Watchers who died in the flood became the demons that filled the air, polluting it. They were given power over all who eat flesh or live wickedly. Since the demons are admitted into our bodies by eating meat, and since they can control our souls upon doing so, the Essenes practiced strict vegetarianism and celibacy outside marriage.
It was the same lesson I had learnt back in the 3rd paragraph, while learning the words He should be kind to animals, how much more unto his fellow man, to him who is endowed with the gift of Utterance, except this time it was a lot more painful and probably would get more and more so until I finally learnt the lesson… Feeling depressed in spirit because of the physical pain I was feeling, I comforted myself by reading another chapter in Marzieh Gail’s book entitled Bright Day of the Soul, which was the extremely moving story of how Mullá Husayn, the 1st of the Báb’s Letters of the Living, was initially severely disappointed to not be chosen as the Báb’s assistant on his pilgrimage to Mecca, but eventually found his joy and extreme fulfilment in following the Báb’s instructions to go to a number of cities, and then find the precious secret hidden in Tihrán, and when he did so to not divulge the secret to anyone. Again, in MG’s beautifully descriptive and emotive words, it was a moving story, bringing any sincere seeker to tears, about how Mullá Hussein succeeded in identifying Bahá’u’lláh and passing Him the Báb’s tablet.
The Báb’s Words to Mullá Husayn were powerful ones, and very appropriate for this new month of Qudrat Power, as it also demonstrated in Mullá Husayn’s obedience to His instructions, what real divine Power, one of the Attributes of God, looks like… Again, transcribing Marzieh’s words in green and the Báb’s in Crimson:
There had been more as to his perilous mission, which the Báb promised he would accomplish, until which time, the Báb said, should the whole world arise against him no one would be able to harm a hair of his head. There had been the hope held out that he, Mullá Husayn, would look upon the Báb in this world again. And almost at the very last hour of their being together, the Báb had said: Grieve not that you have not been chosen to accompany Me in my pilgrimage to Hijáz. I shall, instead, direct your steps to that city which enshrines a Mystery of such transcendent holiness as neither Hijáz nor Shíráz can hope to rival… The essence of power is now dwelling in you, and the company of His chosen angels revolves around you. His almighty arms will surround you, and His unfailing Spirit will ever continue to guide your steps.
Later in this beautiful essay MG transcribed some of the Words of the Báb’s farewell to the Letters of the Living, which now we are nearing the end of the Path of the True seeker, we should read and contemplate as very important instructions for us to succeed in our quest of God… especially if we wish to be invested with God’s Power… It also brings us back to the same Truth taught by teachers of former Cities or dispensations…
Ponder the Words of Jesus addressed to His disciples, as He sent them forth to propagate the Cause of God. In Words such as these, he bade them arise and fulfil their mission: “Ye are even as the fire which in the darkness of the night has been kindled upon the mountain-top. Let your light shine before the eyes of men. Such must be the purity of your character and the degree of your renunciation, that the people of the earth may through you recognise and be drawn closer to the heavenly Father Who is the Source of purity and grace. For none has seen the Father Who is in heaven. You who are His spiritual children must by your deeds exemplify His virtues, and witness to His glory. You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted?”
William Henry in one of his talks showed his audience some Christian art demonstrating the Seraphim, or burning ones, relating to the words from Jesus above telling His disciples that they are even as the fire which in the darkness of the night has been kindled upon the mountain-top. So perhaps in this New dispensation in which these same 18 Letters of the Living sacrificed themselves with all their hearts and souls in the path of their Beloved, and now apparently are dwelling around the throne of God in a circle of 24 illumined beings, we might see them, if we are pure enough, in the Worlds of God looking like this Seraph!

After writing the above yesterday I watched a new upload from Cary Kirastar Ellis on her 21st Century Superhuman YouTube Channel, in which she declared that it behooves us to pay attention to the new plasma technology, because it works! Checking online for the meaning of ‘behooves’ I found that when it behooves someone, it is a duty or responsibility for that person to do something… So, it is our duty and responsibility to exert the highest endeavour to attain unto that City, and also to rend asunder the “veils of glory”. Also it was another sign that as I approach the end of this spiritual journey the Kf Plasma tech is coming back on the radar, so I went online and made a blog post on KfNZ Transcriptions about Cary’s new video which was actually very interesting, including the amazing story of my friends Lynn and Dr Paul in Montana.
3 Qudrat Power 176 BE 6 November 2019 CE
Going back to the beginning of the paragraph before sleep and on waking this morning I valiantly laboured on getting the new Words laid down and integrated in the Grey Matter by REM dreaming and deep sleep, as always finding it very difficult at first, dwelling on the words… so that with inflexible steadfastness we may sacrifice our drooping souls in the path of the New Beloved… It was interesting to contemplate that Bahá’u’lláh’s amanuensis wrote these words before He had rung the Great Bell and began His Mission in 1863, so at this time He is still in the Dispensation of the Báb with all of the rest of us, and His New Beloved is the Báb.
With the continuing heavy work schedule at the ED I did feel like my soul was drooping or losing energy. I felt very tired on rising, with only enough energy to make it to my favourite spot on the couch, and sit contemplating the Words, upon which I realised that, even if my soul was drooping there must be a part of me that could rise with inflexible steadfastness to sacrifice that drooping soul in the Path of the New Beloved. Maybe the New Eye, the New Ear, the New Heart, and the New Mind could help with this Mission, along with the New Skin or Cloak, I wondered?
Feeling a bit better I decided to finally have a look through the other book gifted to me by the Baptist Minister on the flight that time a few months back… Yeshua, The Life of Messiah, from a Messianic Jewish Perspective, by Dr Arnold Fructenbaum, another massive tome of 714 pages. Reading through the book I found detailed accounts of the birth, life, and amazing works of Yeshua, and felt a stirring in my heart and a definite feeling of love and gratitude to the Lord for coming when He did for the sake of all humanity. However, it took only about 30 minutes for me to finish the whole book, and though it brought up many nostalgic memories of my childhood in the Free Presbyterian Church (Kirk) of Scotland, the memories did not come with much emotional intensity, so I decided to give the book to my sister and her husband, along with Dr Arnold’s other book, as they being good Christians and totally exclusive and dedicated followers of Christ would really appreciate these books.
On the other hand, I was hot on the quest of shedding tears and building the flame of blissful rapture felt from the Melodies of the Nightingale of this new dispensation – the New Beloved. I knew exactly how to do this and went to the next chapter in MG’s book Dawn Over Mt Hira, which was the extremely moving episode of the Penultimate Letter of the Living, Tahírih, entitled The White Silk Dress. Reading MG’s version of this story was highly successful in igniting the Fire of Love in the heart and bringing copious tears of sorrow, reading about what happened to this glorious woman, and then while feeling this emotion immersing myself in the next sentence of the Paragraph… We should with tearful eyes, fervently and repeatedly, implore Him to grant us the favour of that grace.
I had also been moving on in my perusal of William Henry’s 18 books, and last night I got them all listed out with their dates of publication and decided the next book to peruse would be a 2005 one entitled The Illuminator, which was a mystical work looking very deeply into a previous aspect of the Beloved, whose name even meant ‘Beloved’. This was Mary Magdalene and opening up the book I quickly had another Zikru’llah Khadem moment… Increase my astonishment, O Lord! The title of Chapter 3 was Mary Magdalene = 153, which definitely caused my jaw to drop, if not hit the ground as WH said about his own jaw when he saw the whirling dervish create the wormhole! Readers who have been with me every step of this Trail will remember the remarkable synchronicity in a previous chapter related to this number, when, first I watched a Marvel Movie about the rescuing of a planet by the name of C53 by Captain Marvel, who became a meteor of light to take out the evil controllers, then my realisation that I was now living at an address number 53/1 which related to the 53 Keshe books last year and this 1 this year, and then quickly followed by another ZK moment, discovering that there were 153 Hidden Words in Bahá’u’lláh’s sacred mystical book!
Turning to page 59 in WH’s book there was a section entitled: MAR, MER, MARY, MERRY, MERY, MERI. WH wrote: As noted Mer is an Egyptian word for both ‘waters’ and ‘mother-love’. The Greek name ‘Mary’ is from the Egyptian ‘Mary’ meaning ‘Beloved’. Reading further in page 61 I read: In Greek gematria the Greek epithet ‘h Magdalhnh’ bears the number 153, a profoundly important number. This number indicates that MM was the ‘Fish Goddess’ among early Christians… Then on p62: Christian sacred geometry scholar David Fideler notes in Jesus Christ: Sun of God, that 153 is associated with the symbolism of the Sun god Apollo at Delphi, the most famous oracle of ancient Greece… Archimedes in his treatise ‘On the Measurement of the Circle’ uses the number ratio 153:265 as a mathematical shorthand for the ‘measure of the fish’ as the Vesica Piscis… the form of the eye and the lips and also the form of each of the rustling leaves of the tree…which flourisheth in that City.
And then on p64, the number of Thoth Hermes and the 64 codons of the DNA double helix spiral of the two serpents on His pole, WH did indeed come to Thoth Hermes Al Khidr once again… A study of the circle-ring-magdala-tower connection gives us the following: church comes from kirk or circe, meaning circle. The word spire, used to describes the antennas atop churches, is the root of spiral. One of the Surnames of Apollo was Tortor (he is Taur, Thor, or Thoth) All of these gods knew the Way, the Path, ‘the thoroughfare to the heavens’…
These were just a few tiny little crumbs from the feast table of just this one book of WH’s, let alone the whole of the 18 Books, and I was looking forward to new illumination, not only from WH, but also from the Illuminator Herself, in her different forms and expressions, through different Arks of Time and Space, Maiden Mother and Crone, both the Old Beloved and the New Beloved. Many and deep were the references and allusions of the embodiments of the Divine Mysteries in the work of WH, and I gave thanks to him again as I looked ahead to scanning over the rest of his books. Mary Magdalene the female companion of Yeshua was thus the 13 in the circle of elders or Seraphim around Christ, and the holder of the Cup of the Female Essence in the Christian Ark, just as now it is Tahírih and Bahíyyih among the 24 Elders in the Vision of John.
WH’s path of search into the mystical tradition of the Magdalene made me recall our visit to the famous tower at Rennes-le-Chateau in 2015, with this picture showing my lovely wife and herbalist collecting some plant medicine from the foot of the Magdalene tower, while our young friend sat on the ancient cyclopean architecture at the foot of the new tower. This place was where local traditions told the story of Jesus and Mary Magdalene settling around here in the Cathar country in South France, and I remembered the illumination later on from our friend Dan Winter, when he showed us the sacred map with the connection to the Magdala tower in Verona, Spain on the south side of the Pyrenees, and directly in between the sacred mountain top of Canigou, where a Fire ceremony takes place every year…
4 Qudrat Power 7 November
The path of guidance seems to have me in a condition of a drooping soul on rising today, with a faint feeling of depression or melancholia in the background, and I spent a couple of hours on the couch focusing on these first two sentences, trying to penetrate their deeper meanings. It was by the grace of God and His loving kindness that I could succeed in the desired goal, which was to rend asunder the “veils of glory”! I then noticed one more should, but this time including the author of the Words, the Blessed Beauty Himself… We should implore Him to grant us the favour of that grace, with which we could then … rend asunder the “veils of glory”. Moreover, we have to do this in a state of complete nothingness or selflessness, or at least with a drooping soul, and the fact that He said our drooping souls meant that we could connect with the pain and suffering that The Beloved experienced, along with all of His multitudes of suffering tortured lovers, whether we are talking about the dispensation of the Báb during the intense flames of those short 19 years, or the dispensation of the Blessed Beauty in this Blessed Day and Age. The way to do this was also spelled out clearly in these sentences… We should with tearful eyes, fervently and repeatedly implore Him (the New Beloved) to grant us the favour of that grace.
There was a lot more to contemplate in these Words, for example; what exactly were “the veils of glory”? and why were these words in quotation marks? But for now, I was guided to the way I knew best how to get some hot tears in my eyes, and a burning fire in my heart… by continuing my daily reading in Marzieh Gail’s book. This method proved to be instantly successful when I continued reading the chapter about Nabíl, entitled The Poet Laureate, in which Nabíl witnessed the horrific torture and deaths of nearly all of his close Friends companions and fellow Bábís. He was miraculously spared from this fate as it was his destiny to write the Chronicles of those times in The Dawnbreakers, in which he succeeded stirringly and beautifully in telling the story of those tens of thousands of heroic Martyrs, who indeed sacrificed their drooping souls on the path of their Beloved, and were helped and assisted by their faith, as well as their tears, in rending asunder the veils of glory, and astonishing all dispassionate witnesses and observers with the obvious happiness and joy they expressed as they were tortured to their deaths!
Reading about the inflexible steadfastness with which they sacrificed their drooping souls, as well as their bodies, their lives and their families, not only brought tears to my eyes, but also a steely determination to be equally humble but strong in my Bahá’í life stepping forwards on the Path. Then the next essay from MG’s book was a really good one to follow this, entitled Mírzá Abu’l-Fadl in America, and written by her in the words of her Father, Ali Kuli Khan Nabíl. Mírzá Abu’l-Fadl was a renowned but very humble scholar, and his self-effacement and complete disregard for himself was held up by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá as a perfect example for us to follow… He was recognised by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá as one of, if not the greatest Bahá’í scholar, but he himself considered himself as utter nothingness beside his Lord.
This chapter gave me some cause for more contemplation about just what I was doing on this quest as well, writing my journey into The Path of Search, as it contained the story of another renowned Bahá’í scholar or two who fell by the roadside, as recorded by Ali Kuli Khan. Incidentally we came to perceive Ali Kuli Khan himself as another perfect example of someone with a glorious lineage who let go of all that to become another humble servant of Bahá. Though telling his story in a spirit of complete servitude to the Ancient Beauty, Ali Kuli Khan, or rather his daughter putting the words into his mouth, let slip in these pages that his father, ‘Abdu’r-Rahím Khán, was the Lord Mayor (Kalántar) of Tihrán, and also Head of Police. In any case Ali Kuli Khan’s careful and loving words about a couple of errant Bahá’í scholars who went to America were faithfully recorded by MG on page 107
What had happened in Chicago was this: the Syrian, Khayru‘lláh, had been teaching the Cause, adding to the faith many beliefs of his own, such as reincarnation, dream interpretation, occultism and the like. He had written a book incorporating these beliefs with the Teachings, and had gone to ‘Akká and asked permission to publish it. The Master told him to abandon his superstitious beliefs, saying further that he would become a leading teacher if he would give them up and spread the Faith. But he returned to America and published his book. A rift resulted among the believers; Mírzá Abu’l-Fadl and I were sent to heal the rift.
In Chicago we found Asadu’lláh, who had come to America with the two devoted Bahá’í merchants of Egypt, Hájí ‘Abdu’l-Karím and Hájí Mírzá Hasan-i-Khurásání; although still a recognised teacher he was busily interpreting dreams for the believers and hemming them in with superstition. After listening to Mírzá for a while, some of the believers said he was ‘cold and intellectual’. They said Asadu’lláh was ‘spiritual’, because he interpreted their dreams. They would walk down the hall, past Mírzá’s door, and go on to Asadu’lláh. They would come and tell us that they were personally led by the spirit, or had a vision warning them against a fellow-believer, and so forth. (Mírzá’s name for them was jinn-gír – ‘spook-chasers’.)
I felt a note of caution here, and it gave me pause for thought. Was my focus on such things as reincarnation …the mysteries of “return” and “revival”…dream interpretation, occultism (a word simply meaning hidden knowledge) and the like, a journey away from what really mattered? It could indeed easily go that way, I realised, as these subjects hold such fascination and interest for people, including myself. Meditating on this I realised I was getting pretty close to that edge, if not over it at times, where the attention was off the New Beloved. But also, I remembered that my focus on books of former times, and ancient hidden knowledge, had all led up to this day with incredible deepening into the Covenant of Bahá’u’lláh, in which the Ark of the Covenant is promised to be resurrected in each and every one of us, the believers in the New Beloved. Also, the Path of Guidance had led back, nearing the end of the journey now, to the Words in the final sentence for this month, in which some of the Books of former Dispensations were specified, and then put into context for me as I memorised the Words about the dispensation of Him Whom God will make manifest in which He now has His own Book – The Book unto which all the Books of former Dispensations must needs be referred, the Book which standeth amongst them all transcendent and supreme.
The way to move ahead on the trail, while incorporating all the fascinating occult knowledge of former times, and taking note of REM sleep dream time, while understanding we should not interpret other people’s dreams, was a subject I was thinking deeply about, and it also occupied the attention of these two Bahá’í scholars sent to heal the rift among the new American Bahá’ís, and they spelt out how they actually dealt with it in MG’s words on p 107. I was glad to see their thoughts fit nicely with how I was thinking about it myself, which was that it was all ok as long as I remained humble with tearful eyes fervently and repeatedly imploring Him to grant us the favour of that grace…
We saw that all this occult confusion would lead to divisions among the friends, especially as many of them were not yet well grounded in the Cause. We talked the matter over and decided on the following procedure: when anyone came to us, saying he was guided by the spirit to do thus and so, we would answer, “the Universal Spirit is manifested today in Bahá’u’lláh. If you have visions or experiences urging you to some action, weight this action with the revealed Teachings. If the act conforms with the Teachings, it is true guidance. If not, your experience has been only a dream.”
In her next chapter, The Goal of a Liberated Mind, Marzieh Gail restated what Steven Phelps said in his 6th Workshop, while he was in the Valleys of Contentment and Wonderment, that one of the great Bahá’í Principals of the Faith is 'the Independent Search for the Truth'. This of course extends to all knowledge, even “occulted” hidden knowledge or interpretation of your own dreams. What MG wrote was, I think, an important answer to what I was looking for in signs of guidance during these last couple of chapters; where to stop looking or cease the Path of Search, and how to know when I have found the Truth? …on page 117:
Bahá’u’lláh has commanded His followers to do their own thinking, and to look into all things with a searching eye. He says in the Words of Wisdom… The essence of all that We have revealed for thee is Justice, is for man to free himself from idle fancies and imitation… It is, then, through justice – best beloved of virtues – that we are to know things by our own understanding and see them with our own eyes. But the question arises, how are we to achieve this justice, how are we to recognise the truth once we have started on our search? To this, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá answers that there are four standards of judgement, four ways of proving a thing true. The first is sense perception, the second is the intellect, the third is traditional authority, and the fourth is inspiration. When applied individually, these tests are obviously inadequate, for the senses are frequently unreliable, even the greatest intellectuals are often at variance, traditional authority is easily misunderstood, and the ‘still small voice’ may at times be quite other than divine. But when all four tests are brought to bear and result in a convergence of evidence, we have satisfactorily proved a truth.
On the next page MG took a closer look at what ‘Abdu’l-Bahá said about the Search for Reality, when He was speaking to a Metaphysical group in Boston Massachusetts in August 1912 about man’s search for Reality, as quoted by her from his work The Promulgation of Universal Peace. She went on to say, quoting some more words from ‘Abdu’l-Bahá reflecting the Words of the Blessed Beauty for this month…
That no one is exempt from the search for Reality is proved by the further words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá; after saying that each human being is equipped for the investigation of Reality, He continues… each has individual endowment, power and responsibility… Therefore, depend upon your own reason and judgement and adhere to the outcome of your own investigation… Turn to God, supplicate humbly at His Threshold… that God may rend asunder the veils that obscure your vision. Henceforward no one should expose himself and humanity to the dangers of ignorance.
5 Qudrat 8 November
I had a nice quiet night at work where I was able to grab a few sets of 40 winks and woke in the early hours feeling like trying to remember the first two sentences. Feeling a block about half way I went and looked up the TOTTS online and was dismayed to find that this paragraph did not exist, at least the first two sentences didn’t, and nor did the whole of the 13th paragraph for next month! On getting home I spent a ½ hour before more sleep on looking this up, and found that the whole version that I am memorising, which I had divided into 13 paragraphs, is the complete text from the original in the Kitab-i-Iqan, The Book of Certitude, but the extract I found online was the Gleanings version, which had these sentences missing!
For some reason Shoghi Effendi decided not to include these sentences in the Gleanings extract, which was in all the online versions of the TOTTS that I checked. I was lucky that my own Prayer book, Bahá’í Prayers and Readings from the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Australia Inc, 2011, had the whole thing, otherwise I might never have discovered the missing paragraphs that were proving to be so essential on keeping me on the correct path of guidance. The question is… why did SE leave these two paragraphs out of the Gleanings extract? I wondered if it was possibly because of what I had already identified; that Bahá’u’lláh’s form of address in these paragraphs identifies Him as part of Us, addressing our Beloved from within the 19 years of the Bábí dispensation, and not fully a part of This Tablet addressed to the True Seeker within the Bahá’í Dispensation He would begin in 1863, a few years after this date, with His own Book – The Book unto which all the Books of former Dispensations must needs be referred, the Book which standeth amongst them all transcendent and supreme.
In any case I note this morning that my dreams, as this month’s sentences become more fluent, are also becoming more lucid, and included very clearly some people from my past indicating to me that I would soon be close and familiar with them once more… Being 0bedient to the learnings in this chapter about dream interpretation, I will not share this dream content; I will keep the interpretations of the exciting excursions into the Worlds of God to myself, meanwhile wishing the reader happy dreams on his/her own path of search.
8 Qudrat 11:11 11 November
This is the last entry for this month as I now head home for 10 days, and on return it will be time for the last paragraph, last month, and last chapter of the full TOTTS. The last 3 nights I’ve been a little thrashed at the ED and so felt tired and just sat on the couch reading, almost finishing MG’s classic work of great beauty Dawn Over Mt Hira and Other Essays – with some HUGE deepening into Knowledge of how the Faith spread in its first Century, then getting into Martha Root’s book on Táhirih, also introduced by MG with a personal glimpse of this humble American woman, who responded to ‘Abdu’l-Baha’s call and rose with great Power, just as we saw Jináb-i Bábu’l-Báb (“Gate of the Gate”), doing in his time, and was responsible for introducing Queen Marie of Romania to the Faith amongst thousands of others of all races creeds and religions, then ending up on one of our favourite spots on the planet, in the midmost heart of the Ocean in Hawaii where her bones rest on the Island of Oahu. Looking forward to getting the last chapter done I made a HUGE order of books from Kalimat press including Nader Saiedi’s Gate of the Heart - his book on the Báb, (although I could not find a single copy of his book Logos and Civilisation available online) and several scholarly tomes put together by Dr Moojan Momen, for a two-week holiday at the beach in January with nothing to do except go for walks and swims and peruse the box of books!
New South Wales has been burning for the last week or so as the satellite picture on 6 Qudrat 9/11 shows, with the smoke from the fires pluming off towards NZ. There were over 150 houses burnt in one village near us, and probably millions of koala bears and even a few people burnt alive, even in the rainforest, which unlike the Eucalyptus forest is NEVER supposed to burn, ever! People in these parts are used to bush fires but have never seen anything like this! The snow in the hills below the fire zone shows the unseasonably cold weather, which has been the cause of the drought, as this year the thunderstorms and rains did not arrive as usual in September October November , and this isn’t even the hot summer season yet, so the smoky skies and the blood red sunsets are being seen by people as a really bad omen for a fearfully hot and dangerous summer ahead…
I have been praying and dancing for rain daily for almost 3 months now, so I guess this dismisses any chance of me being hailed as one of the rainmakers, in the tradition outlined by WH, and I sort of felt aligned with him and in the same boat when he said he was not pure enough himself to fulfil that function… albeit I also always add to my prayers a phrase acknowledging God and saying …Not my will but Thine be done, O my Beloved. Was this extreme change in the weather patterns over Australia just an aberration due to global warming and climate change? Or was Ben Davidson’s research in a previous chapter about the South Magnetic Pole being already off the Antarctic continent in the Southern Ocean and moving swiftly closer to Australia by the day, and bringing the cold weather with it, right on the mark? We do not need to believe one way or another, just keep watching the SO news and other good channels for the real weather coming up and wait for time to tell!
Just one more Gem to include from the Blessed Beauty before typing next month’s paragraph, is my favourite sentence from the Long Obligatory Prayer… This was the sentence it took me the longest to remember back then, and so I am not surprised that this one now feels like the one with the most juice, and Power, especially as it resonates with another attribute of God twice highlighted in this month’s Words… Grace. Gabriel said Hail Mary full of Grace, and this is indeed an attribute of the Beloved, to which we have a whole new Universe of meaning added to this month’s words, especially when we take in that favourite sentence… Thou seest, O My Lord, this wretched creature knocking at the door of Thy Grace, and this evanescent soul seeking the river of everlasting life from the hands of Thy Bounty…
The final 13th paragraph of the TOTTS, for the month of Qawl Speech, and the final 13th chapter of the Path of Search, goes like this:
In these cities spiritual sustenance is bountifully provided,
and incorruptible delights have been ordained.
The food they bestow is the bread of heaven,
and the Spirit they impart is God’s imperishable blessing
Upon detached souls they bestow the gift of Unity,
enrich the destitute, and offer the cup of knowledge
unto them who wander in the wilderness of ignorance.
All the guidance, the blessings, the learning,
the understanding, the faith, and certitude,
conferred upon all that is in heaven and on earth,
are hidden and treasured within these Cities.
