5. Love is Forgiveness

THE PATH OF SEARCH, Chapter 5.

The month of Rahmat (Mercy) 176 BE
Memorising the 5th Paragraph of The Tablet of the True Seeker

As each chapter and Paragraph of the Tablet has come into synchronisation with the Badíʿor Bahá’í calendar, a screen shot of the month of Rahmat introduces this chapter, taken from a beautiful arrangement of the calendar, with each month AND the whole 19 months of 361 days arranged into a hexagram, by New York Bahá’í Friend Leland Wright, and available online as a pdf or hard copy decorative wall calendar…

Our purpose in revealing
these convincing and weighty utterances
is to impress upon the seeker
that he should regard all else beside God
as transient,
and count all things save Him
Who is the object of all adoration
as utter nothingness.

12 Rahmat (Mercy) 176 BE  5 July 2019 CE

Back in the land of Oz after a relaxing 7 days back at home in Aotearoa, where my wife has instituted daily prayers in the new prayer room at 0730hrs each morning, I reflected on the beautiful feeling created by the prayers. Over the last 13 years we many times visited Rarotonga, the biggest of the Cook Islands, where we joined, with some local Friends, a 90+ year old Bahá’í of Persian Zoroastrian ancestry by the name of KeyKhosrow – literally ‘King Khosrow’ (apparently the namesake of a famous king in the history of Persia/Iran). During one visit a few years back we learnt that a Mashriq-l-Adkhar – a Dawning Place of the Remembrance of God– was not only one of the large continental Bahá’í temples, but also in the unfolding of the New Era there would be a Mashriq-l-Adkhar in every community, and Abdu’l-Baha added that wherever 1 or 2 gathered together for the institution of dawn prayers – at the dawn of every day he should commune with God – there too would be a Mashriq-l-Adkhar. Every morning at 0730 the day began with the 3 main prayers Khosrow would recite at dawn before he winged his flight to the Worlds of God in 174 BE 2017 CE; The Tablet of Achmad, The Long Healing Prayer, The Fire Tabletas well as any others anyone wants to read or recite. As at the school in the Czech Republic, reciting these prayers seemed to bring harmony and flow into every day, as well as some astonishing synchronicity, manifest signs of the universe.

During the previous month spending time on uploading the Keshe books, although I was very happy with how the work went, and felt supported in many ways with lots of small synchronicity, I did not feel as full in my heart and soul, as to complete the job I had to cut short my morning meditations and sessions with the Words… I even felt a bit of that old well known emotion of irrational anger leaking through from somewhere, and noticed creeping in some stray feelings of despise and anger towards a couple of obese patients, whom, I was thinking, had created their own problems with their own stupidity and bad habits; so what were they doing coming to bother me at the ED, when they should just lie on their beds and die!? I even wrote to my wife in a message on the 20th June…

‘Good morning - I hope you had some happy dreams! I had a difficult night in my own mind – feeling a bit paranoid and anxious, not settled – actually I think it’s because last night I had a 150kg+ male age 63 and I was thinking of him in annoyance - like - wtf do you think I can do with all this self-inflicted shit - GOMER! (‘Get Out of My ER!’) – and now this morning I am remembering some of the words for this month; “Pray for the sinful, and NEVER despise his low estate, for none knoweth what his own end might be!” Oh! wait a minute it’s “he (the seeker) should forgive the sinful...”

A message came back from my beloved… ‘Forgive yourself – send an apology to him he probably had a traumatic childhood – and don’t do it again!  Good night 😻

I sent her thanks for the wise message, and got on with the work on the KfNZ transcription website, completing the work with beautiful timing right on the Solstice, and knowing within myself that it all felt correct and the right thing to do at this time, but also relieved that I could now walk away from it, except for maybe doing a blog post each Bahá’í month, which would contain inspiration from my ongoing adventures on The Path of Search. I was glad to finish the work on the transcriptions and get back to a focus on the path of the true seeker and I realized towards the end of the month of Núr as I messaged my wife that I had been memorizing the wrong words… I had not been learning the correct word in that sentence, which should have been forgive, not prayHe should forgive the sinful, and never despise his low estate, for none knoweth what his own end shall be. Then when I learnt that the next month was the month of Rahmat Mercy, it seemed very appropriate that a focus during this month would be on Forgiveness.

I immediately started thinking about the old tohunga’s travelling map that I included in all 3 of my trilogy of books Crystal Mission, Trail of the Hawk, and Search for the Feathered Serpent; it was a central thread running through all 3 books and would now bring some more sparkles of synchronicity on the path of search for this month. The map was originally given to me and a good friend back in 1991 when Solara came to New Zealand with a message that there was a map hidden in NZ that was a key for the transformation of the planet, and also that she had a message from a kahuna in Hawaii for a tohunga in NZ. This message made my friend and I go looking in the Urewera ranges where we heard there was a very wise and powerful old tohunga by the name of koro hemi. In Crystal Mission I related this story of how we found the old tohunga and when we told him of our mission, he got out a blackboard and drew a map, which he said was his map for travelling out of his body.

He then told an extraordinary story of how he had gone to Egypt with the Maori Battalion during WWII and then returned to Egypt for 7 years after the war, studying the ancient scriptures and knowledge with a pyramid priest by the name of Philae the Elder. The reason I started thinking that this map might be a focus in the month of Rahmat Mercy was that at the base of the map, the key to its workings, revolving and motivating, was a phrase of 3 words, Love Is Forgiveness. Then on looking again at the map I realized that it was a VERY fitting map to include in The Path of Search, as it also appears to be a map for the path of a Seeker, or in the words on the map, a SEARCHER, and the map appears to be a vortical revolving flight path with the energy generated by that phrase at the base of the map: LOVE IS FORGIVENESS!

Indeed, as soon as I arrived home there was some more news involving the map. My wife had been in contact with a man in Wellington named Pierre, who had got in touch wanting to get a copy of the book with the map for a visiting Hawai’ian by the name of Daniel. It turned out that Daniel was visiting a marae about an hour’s drive away, and then our new friend with the AAA number plate who was attracted to the Prayers and turned up at 0730 every morning to share in the Mashriq’l-Adkhar, was excited to hear about old koro hemi and his map as she had just recently been on a long trail to Italy following the path of the Maori Battalion in WWII, to visit the resting places of those warriors, who were described in one book I read as “the cream of Maoridom” many of whom were from the chiefly lines,  and graduates or initiates of the ancient Mystery schools, which were decimated and broken by this ghastly war.

Returning from Italy our friend had taken on a project to coordinate the writing of the History of A Company, which was made up of Northlanders. The books of B and C Companies were already written but there was no book for A Company – it was her mission to get that book done. She was excited to hear about this history of one of the men, probably of A Company, who had returned to Egypt for 7 years and then when he returned to NZ had set up scores of Plant Medicine Rongoā Clinics all around Aotearoa. She was certainly keen for an adventure on the Friday night so we 3 set out on a night time drive through the misty bush cloaked Mangamuka ranges of the Far North.

It was a very interesting and worth-while excursion even though it kept us up way past our normal bed-times, we all agreed. We approached the marae with proper NgaPuhi protocol guided by our friend, then inside the meeting house we met a large group of Maori Christians who were being told a story of the power of prayer by the gentle wise Hawaiian, who looked like he was of Japanese extraction. We were received into the group and heard the rest of his story, before then having a korero (talk) on why we were here, and then exchanging books with the Hawaiian, whose name was Daniel Kikawa. I felt to gift him with my two books Crystal Mission and Trail of the Hawk, and in return I was surprised to be gifted two books by him; a 2008 book God of Light, God of Darkness, Ke Akua o ke Ao, Ke Akua o ka Po, The Chronicles of the Spiritual Battle for Hawai’i, and an earlier book, Perpetuated in Righteousness, The Journey of the Hawaiian People from Eden (Kalana i Haulola) to the Present Time, Fourth Edition 1994.

Over the next week I spent a few hours in the mornings after prayers reading the more recent book, God of Light, reflecting that it was a fitting gift to receive at the end of the month of Núr Light, and the beginning of the month of Rahmat Mercy. It was an inspiring story making me remember the Love I felt for Jesus as a child listening to our Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland minister from the Isle of Ness, Reverend William Maclean, and feeling his HUGE Love for Jesus Christ, who willingly shed His blood as a sacrifice for the Forgiveness of ALL of us. Now I read about this amazing spiritual battle that took place on March 14th, 1998, when ‘in obedience to God, nearly a hundred teams of Hawaiian followers of Jesus on all of the major Hawaiian Islands, went to the human sacrifice heiau (s) and repented to ‘Io for the shedding of innocent human blood. More miracles happened in nature and in the Spirit than any of us had ever seen.’

From all the hundreds of inspiring stories in the book, to me the vision seen by a woman named Beth summed up the essence of what would happen and did happen in the ‘Io project… ‘The Lord spoke a second time saying. “The hem of my garment will soon pass over Hawai’i.” Then suddenly a vision passed before her eyes. She saw the giant hem of the Lord’s garment passing over the Islands. It was so huge it swept over whole islands at a time. Then she saw golden pearls rolling down the Lord’s garment and off of the hem. When these pearls hit the islands, they burst into golden liquid that flowed over the land. That is when she realized these golden pearls were spheres of oil. It was the Lord’s anointing falling upon the Islands of Hawai’i. Beth looked on in excitement; there were thousands of golden pearls flowing off of God’s garment onto the Islands! Each place a pearl dropped, she knew the anointing of the Lord would fall upon different ones and they would do special things for Him.’

It was a huge thing for the Hawai’ians to realize that their ancient God, ‘Io, was in fact the same God as YHWH (Yahweh) of the Jews and Jehovah of the Christians, and that the Christian missionaries had not introduced them to a new God but reintroduced them to their own ancient God of Love and Forgiveness. It also brought home to me that the Christian God I had Loved as a child sitting in church, was the same God reflected to humankind by Bahá’u’lláh, and so it was no surprise that the Path of Search was not only leading me into stories of the power of the Love of Jesus, but also re-introducing the ancient travelling map that had as its highest realm Hawaiki Tapu -  The Abode of the Christ!

Another thing Daniel spoke about to the gathered group of Maori Christians, was the presence of the Rainbow god, known as Uenuku, and by others as Kahukura, whom I had researched at length in Trail of the Hawk, and who went in front of the waka Takitumu as a rainbow guide. Then over the next week, after months of no rainbows at all, there were many amazing rainbows, including several double rainbows… The presence of these atua – god forms – reflecting aspects of the One Creator God, were well known in ancient Maori lore, and regarded as tohu– or signs – manifest signs of the Universe.

The attention on Jesus was also a reminder that the Tablet of the True Seeker is in fact extracted from the Kitab-i-IqanBahá’u’lláh’s Book of Certitude, in which He explains in very clear terms that all of the Prophets including Jesus were in fact Mirrors of Holiness, referred to in the Long Obligatory Prayer as Them who are the Daysprings of Thine Invisible Essence, reflecting the Light of the same Sun:

‘Thus it is that Jesus, Himself, declared: “I go away and come again unto you.” Consider the sun. Were it to say now, “I am the sun of yesterday,” it would speak the truth. And should it, bearing the sequence of time in mind, claim to be other than that sun, it still would speak the truth. In like manner, if it be said that all the days are but one and the same, it is correct and true. And if it be said, with respect to their particular names and designations, that they differ, that again is true. For though they are the same, yet one doth recognize in each a separate designation, a specific attribute, a particular character. Conceive accordingly the distinction, variation, and unity characteristic of the various Manifestations of holiness, that thou mayest comprehend the allusions made by the Creator of all names and attributes to the mysteries of distinction and unity, and discover the answer to thy question as to why that everlasting Beauty should have, at sundry times, called Himself by different names and titles.’

I did not think, then, that it was any accident that I should find myself on the flight back to work in the Land of Oz, sitting next to an evangelistic Christian Brethren preacher in his 80s, who observed me reading the book God of Light, and was very interested. Not only did he turn out to have known one of my uncles, but he also felt I needed to read a very interesting book that had influenced his views about the current events in Israel. He felt so strongly I would enjoy this book that he took my name and address so he could send it, explaining that it was a book of prophecies interpreted by a Christian Jewish scholar by the name of Dr. Arnold Fructenbaum: Footsteps of the Messiah, in which he read the disastrous future of the Land of Israel, of which 2/3 of the population would be destroyed and the other 1/3 would flee for refuge to Petra, Jordan.  On returning to work I gave thanks for the small deluge of books I was being gifted, and looked forward to receiving this book a few weeks down the line, while also feeling a much deeper relationship to Jesus in my recognition of Him as the Son of God, in relation to Bahá’u’lláh as God the Father, though reflecting the same Creator God of Forgiveness and Mercy, known to both Maori and Hawai’ians among other names as ‘Io mata ngaro– The Hidden and Unseen God.

Whilst at home for the week another man, with whom I’d been in email contact for a while, got in touch and wanted to meet to talk about a possible business connection in the healing realm. It was almost another Zikru’llah Khadem moment – O Lord Increase my Astonishment at Thee – when he turned up with a couple of friends and gifted me another book pertaining to Núr Light – this time The Medicine of Light!  With the book he also gifted a range of products developed over decades with the help of many different research institutes throughout Europe, and patented in Russia, in which trials showed a huge efficacy in the treatment of cancer and all sorts of chronic diseases. He told the moving story of how his father was originally motivated by the tragic loss of his wife (and my friend’s mother) from cancer and had now achieved over 18 years of passionate charity funded research, with the sole purpose being to help people recover and flourish, thus reaching and maintaining optimal health and longevity.

With the synchronicity of receiving the 2nd book in short order gifted to me about Light of one sort or another, I was inclined to think that this was indeed a breakthrough, especially as the price for the light activated product, Immunolume PRO, which had now been developed for oral use instead of intravenous, and along with the lasport 650nm infrared therapeutic device which straps to the wrist and illuminates the blood to activate the product, was amazingly low in cost, considering the massive amount of research that had gone into its development. According to the book, which I am now reading carefully, the technology is amazingly effective as well, so much so that it had to be used with care to avoid a body overload of toxic degradation products.

Landing back in the Land of Oz for another 18-day work stint, on checking the Keshe transcriptions website I had a few positive reactions to the new SHOP from Keshe Knowledge seekers and decided for the first time in at least 18 months to have a listen to the present Knowledge Seeker workshop. I was amazed to find that MK was still working with the same coordinator, Rick, and the KS workshops were now up to Number 283; there were now well over 5 years of weekly workshops without a break. Relaxing into the well-known cadences of his voice with its unique Iranian construction of English, I first noticed him giving a stern personal warning to the Iranian authorities to not go on enriching Uranium as this would give the excuse for the Washington neo-cons to unleash their longed-for war with Iran. Then he made a prophetic announcement that in the American 2020 election Trump would lose, and for the first time in American history we would see both the President and Vice-presidents being female… Checking the world news it did seem like the only politician in the news coming from a moral and ethical position, and it was remarkable that she was even given such focused coverage and was making such big waves in the deep state propaganda media, was a Hawai’ian woman, an ex-army medic who had served on the ground in Iraq, by the name of Tulsi Gabbard! It would certainly have a great ring to the title and her name was VERY presidential – President Tulsi Gabbard!

Time would tell, I thought, but it made me stop and consider again what had happened in Hawai’i back in 1998, and whether that had anything to do with this phenomenon of a female politician of high moral and ethical fiber emerging to challenge the authority of the evil-doers in control of American politics. Maybe the plasma field in Hawaii was so strong from those events, that it was now having a ripple effect on the rest of the USA first, and then the rest of the world. It was indeed true that the great Hawai’ian volcano on the Big Island, was the primary tetrahedral point on planet earth, at 19.5 degrees of latitude, just like the great red spot on Jupiter, and the tetrahedron related in mystical sacred geometry to the element of Fire. Maybe the Fire of purification was now spreading uncontrollably around the planet from that central place in the Pacific Ocean, and maybe Daniel’s ‘Io project had more to do with current events than we could imagine?

I was interested to find that MK has not moved on very much at all from the point I turned away, directed by the Bahá’í UHJ, back in early 2018, but his white-board drawings were very clear, and he was now going into even more detail on the division in the path of evolution; the choice we have as humanity, to choose either the path of physicality, or the path of the Soul! This then fit right alongside a meditation I had originally included in the last month’s chapter but after having feedback from good friends that the chapter was too long, I dissected it from that chapter and planned to include it in this, now delighted to find it introduced by Mehran Keshe, and his talk of 2 alternative path ways.

The meditation was into the article from Dr. Momen’s book, which was a profound dip into the Ocean of The Hidden Wordsby Julio Savi entitled The Love Relationship between God and Humanity: Reflections on Bahá’u’lláh’s Hidden Words. Opening the chapter, I noticed a paragraph I had previously highlighted, and summed up my thoughts about how, with the reduced focus on the Words of Bahá’u’lláh over the previous  week focusing on the Keshe transcriptions, my reality had fallen out of the celestial realms into the world of physicality and I could not feel my heart so full and flamelike in my chest as I had the week before…

‘…While God made us to share in both the spiritual and the material worlds, He has also endowed us with instruments whereby we may know the two sides of reality: i.e. the ‘two visions’, useful both for looking to ‘the world’ and for recognizing ‘the hallowed beauty of the Beloved’ (P12= Persian Hidden Word 12). In addition, He conferred on us the capacity of loving, a capacity which He left us free to orient towards either the ‘eternal, imperishable, dominion’ or a ‘mortal and fleeting sovereignty’ (A54= Arabic Hidden Word 54) This dual nature makes humans somehow ambiguous. Although we are able to know the two worlds and are endowed with wings that enable us to ‘fly to realms of mystic holiness’, we often direct our steps towards ‘the regions of satanic fancy’ (P79) Our life, therefore, appears to be wavering between a material world, to which we are attracted because of desire and passion, and a spiritual world towards which we are driven by our divine potentiality, almost a ‘spiritual instinct’ (from ‘Abdu’l-Bahá Paris Talks) and by God Himself through His loving assistance.’

Reading these words during my study and meditation I felt the cares of the world, and the anxieties and feelings of self-blame in having negative emotions like anger lingering around, all fade away and dissipate once again. Then I had a physical sensation of the flame in my heart kindling and catching fire, then feeling the flame intensify as I read on finding great inspiration and excitement at the power and love of the Words expressed in this beautiful article… For example, the following Words felt so illuminating as my mind was led to understand and my heart and soul to feel that the difficult nights at work were even more precious than the idyllic quiet nights, and indeed all sorts of difficulties in life should be seen in a positive light and we should always try and keep a feeling of gratitude … as advised in The Hidden Words.

‘…This contentment and gratitude should be manifested when in receipt of the great gifts of God (A70) and also under the trials of life, which are often sent down upon us so that our faithfulness to the Covenant may be tested: ‘If adversity befall thee not in My path, how canst thou walk in the ways of them that are content with My pleasure?’ (A50)

I was delighted to find that the article finished, at the end of the path, which admittedly may be jumping ahead a little on The Path of Search, but still contains a beautiful glimpse of where we might come to at the end of the road ‘…to discover God within ourselves (Did he not engrave His image upon us? A3, A10, A11, A12, A19, A36, A64) … with an extract from one of my all-time favourite Hidden Words, Persian Hidden Word 19… This Hidden Word features in several places in Julio Savi’s beautiful essay, so I will write it down in crimson ink just for the pleasure of repeating the wonderful Words…

O MY FRIENDS

Have ye forgotten that true and radiant morn, when in those hallowed and blessed surroundings ye were all gathered in My presence beneath the shade of the tree of life, which is planted in the all-glorious paradise? Awestruck ye listened as I gave utterance to these three most holy words: O friends! Prefer not your will to Mine, never desire that which I have not desired for you, and approach Me not with lifeless hearts, defiled with worldly desires and cravings. Would ye but sanctify your souls, ye would at this present hour recall that place and these surroundings, and the truth of My utterance should be made evident unto all of you’ (P19)

In this Hidden Word Bahá’u’lláh boils the requirements to approach His presence down to 3 essentials, although as we learnt at the Feast of Núr from one of the Friends, the Tablet of the True Seeker apparently (I haven’t counted them yet) details 25 requirements to get to the state where we might have only those 3 in our minds, and of course with souls sanctified from all that pertaineth to water and clay, from all shadowy and ephemeral attachments. All sorts of other considerations also present themselves in this Hidden Word, and I could probably write another 20 pages on these… and possibly will in future blog posts/chapters. One of the questions is; if there is no reincarnation, and if the soul is created at conception, which part of us is it that has forgotten that true and radiant morn, when in those hallowed and blessed surroundings ye were all gathered in My presence beneath the shade of the tree of life, which is planted in the all-glorious paradise? More questions present themselves: How long ago was that? Or was that true and radiant morn indeed beyond time and space? And is there a part of each of us that exists beyond time and space?

At this point I thought I had done writing for the day and went to my YouTube channel to catch up on news, but the first thing to catch my eye was a Video from one of my favourite Video bloggers and authors on the internet, Robert Sepehr, at his YouTube site Atlantean Gardens. His new video posted today Rahmat 13, July 6, had the Title We Are Beings of Light! in which there was illuminating information about the fact that we are all made up of bio-photons with a VERY high degree of coherence.

17 Rahmat (Mercy) 176 BE  10 July 2019 CE

This is the official Holy Day of remembrance of the Martyrdom of the Báb, and so there is a focus on the Báb, which began at sunset yesterday the 9th (The Báb was actually executed at midday on the 9th of July, Persian time) and when I was on my evening jog around the block I stopped to stretch against a tree, and my iPhone by itself switched from listening to X58, DJ’s weekly X series, which this week was focused on the mystical background to American Independence Day the 4th of July, and started playing Identity and the Spiritual Journey in the Badí Calendar by Dr. Nader Saiedi, in which he was saying at 36minutes that Badí meant New , Wondrous or Wonderful.

The message was clear: no matter how interesting was the involvement of the secret Mystery Schools and Francis Bacon’s book The New Atlantis in the foundation of the USA, I was being told that, at least for the month of Rahmat, I should regard all else beside God as transient, and count all things save Him Who is the object of all adoration as utter nothingnessObediently, I listened to the rest of the tape and was again awestruck at the amazing depth of scholarly knowledge of Dr Saiedi, and his understanding of so many ancient calendars; the Egyptian, the Aztec/Mayan, the ancient Zoroastrian, the ancient Roman, The Julian and Gregorian, the Judaic and Islamic calendars and how they were all represented in this new Wondrous Calendar of 19 months of 19 Days. Also, I again realised that I would have to listen to this tape several more times to even start understanding the complexity of it, but I was again amazed and awestruck at the realisation that the Calendar itself was a Spiritual Journey of the Seeker, with many mysteries enfolded in its numbers and geometry…

This was deepened by the last few days perusing a book, The Seal of God in Creation and The Word, 7th Edition, by F. C. Payne, on the gematria – sacred numbers – of nature as well as the words written into the King James Version of The Holy Bible. The most remarkable was the rule of 7s, 7 trumpets, 7 candlesticks, 7 days in the week, 7 seals, etc, to reflect the 7 colours of the rainbow in nature, also reflected in the patterns of the original Hebrew and Greek gematria, and this was stunning and incontrovertible evidence that The Holy Bible was a work inspired and created by forces beyond the powers of puny mankind, aligned as it was with the creation of the natural kingdom. I also remembered that the ‘Io project took place at the Feast of Purim, which always took place on the 14th day of the 7th Jewish month, also the day that Jesus was crucified and rose again on the 16th. The Báb’s calendar also has a nod to the 7s, as the 19 days of each month, each one named after one of the Names of God, are split into 2 weeks of 7 of the names, and 1 week of 5. The Báb had a real special thing going with the 5 as well, and His most powerful prayers were written in the form of pentagrams, which are known in magical lore to be powerful spells influencing the world of creation… for example this one following is entitled Haykal(pentacle talisman) and da'ira(circle) #1

On this incredible Talisman/Prayer from the Báb we can see a combination of Numbers, the Pentagram on top straddling the 19 months or the 19 letters of the living, and at the centre a magic square made of 7x7 = 49 small squares. After listening to Dr Saiedi, I know there is incredible depth and complexity in this talisman, and it was also a real pleasure to understand that in following this quest for the Beloved, the path of the true seeker was rightfully coming into step with the Mystical Journey of the Seeker that is the Badí Calendar.

Another thing I have to report is that with getting back to the daily focus before and after sleep on the words of the month, there has been another breakthrough in the dreamtime, as this morning for the first time I can remember I woke from the REM dream time aware that I had a distinct sense of smell; the olfactory sense, the deepest and most primal sense has woken up for the first time in the dream time, and the scent that I was smelling was the odour of frying onions garlic turmeric ginger and chilli in coconut oil – which I just had to a few hours later replicate in the material realm! It was interesting to reflect that my REM sleep dreams were remembered mostly as visual, with the occasional auditory sense and now for the first time the olfactory sense, making me think that perhaps there was not only to be a new eye a new ear a new heart and a new mind, but also a new nose!

The focus over the next couple of days was also on reviewing the number of things the true seeker had to achieve to date, as the Paragraph this month seemed to be a review of things up to now … Our purpose in revealing these convincing and weighty utterances… So just how many utterances were there? I first went to my iPad version of the Tablet and highlighted all the musts, shoulds, and should nots, and was intrigued to find they came to 33! It did not surprise me at all, as I realised immediately that this number also came with the renewed interest and focus on Jesus Christ this month of Rahmat Mercy, as the number 33 in the Mystery schools of Christianity was associated with Christ, the Son of God, who was crucified at age 33. Digging deeper into the mystery of the 33 in the past, I had also found from my studies in the works of Sir Laurence Gardner, among other things Prior of the Celtic Kindred of Columba, and Historiographer Royale of the House of Stewart, that the human body possesses 33 spinal vertebrae, relating to the 33 degrees of initiation into Free Masonry producing the Christed Master Mason.

However, when I looked at all the musts and shoulds again and wrote them all out I found I had to split the 1st one in two, hence the seeker not only cleansing his heart from the obscuring dust of all acquired knowledge, but also cleansing his heart from the allusions of the embodiments of satanic fancy. Also, in this month’s Paragraph I discovered 2 more shoulds …  he should regard all else beside God as transient, and (he should) count all things save Him Who is the object of all adoration as utter nothingness. This then brings the number of things the seeker should accomplish to 36, which could be seen as the Christ number 33, with the addition of the God Number 3, coming to the Bahá’í number of 36 (3x9).

In any case, the focus on the different musts, shoulds, and should nots of the seeker and writing them out helped with the memorisation process, as I was now most days reciting the Tablet from the top without glancing too many times at the hard copy, and the focus on God and the Beloved was felt to be bringing some growth into the consciousness of the dream time with more senses waking up in that other realm, and there were some other confirmations also, for example in receiving a letter from the National Spiritual Assembly, which exhorted to even more efforts in the months leading up to the 200th Birthday of the Báb and finished with words of Bahá’u’lláh, that not only mentioned the name of God for this month of Rahmat Mercy, but also made mention of the holy Utterances of God that we should be sharing with other people, also the focus for this month’s paragraph …

‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s summons to us is unmistakeably clear: “Thus far ye have been untiring in your labours. Let your exertions henceforth increase a thousandfold. Summon the people in these countries, capitals, islands, assemblies and churches to enter the ‘Abhá Kingdom. The scope of your exertions must needs be extended. The wider its range, the more striking will be the evidence of divine assistance.”

'Between now and the end of the Plan in April 2021, the widening embrace of the community-building work in Aotearoa will inevitably extend to thousands more. Every believer’s contribution to this effort, however humble, is a valuable part of this collective spiritual enterprise. Between now and the Twin Holy Days on 29 and 30 October, we urge each of you to think of how your efforts to build the world anew can achieve new levels of focus and intensity, whatever your circumstances…

O people of Bahá! Soar upon the wings of detachment into the atmosphere of the love of your Lord, the All-Merciful. Arise then to render Him victorious, as bidden in the Preserved Tablet. Beware lest ye contend with any of My servants. Bestow upon them the sweet savours of God and His holy utterances, for through their potency all men will be enabled to turn unto Him. …. Well is it with the one who, with lowliness and humility, hath set his face towards the Dayspring of the verses of his Lord.” (Ayyám-i-Tis‘ih, pp. 45–47, Days of Remembrance)

19 Rahmat 176 BE, 12 July 2019 CE

At the end of the month Rahmat I have the Paragraph for this month reciting freely, and so it is time for a final few words for the month. As the path of search appears to be leading into the path of the soul, which also appears to be accessible through the dream time, I feel like continuing my dream diary as a thread through these chapters. As I had a leap forward yesterday with discovering the olfactory sense, the sense of smell in the dream time, it occurs to me today this might shed some light of understanding on the story I heard about the members of the UHJ, who apparently sometimes will smell letters before opening to see if they have the smell of covenant breaking – perhaps showing the level of consciousness of the people who attain to that great station on the planet. Then this morning I woke from a long dream in which I had been taken by a youngish female through a series of dangerous tests which were extremely life threatening, before being accepted into greater friendship. The dream was very strong in my consciousness and after I rose I went back in meditation to what had happened and understood that this interaction was what was happening in the world of Light, but also had its parallel to what I was experiencing in Nasut - the world of water and clay, about which, to say any more would be a breach of privacy.

I also had some understandings about Pain, and its presence in our worlds of Search. Earlier in the month while at home in NZ our good Friend, and my greatest supporter in this work of writing down my encounters on the Path of Search, fell over on the beach and fractured her right shoulder. It was a huge blow and she has spent the last couple of weeks in severe pain at times. Calling her today to find out how she is doing she told me the accident had put her in a place of HUGE detachment and allowed her to stand back and watch what is happening. She also appreciated my wife’s comment that the Steed of the Valley of Love is Pain…

I had often thought about the presence of Pain and Suffering in the World, and decided that it can only be here as an opposite to pleasure; without pain how can we understand or experience pleasure? But also, I had often wondered as a GP and Emergency Physician why there was so much pain and suffering in the world of dust? Why were there so many people hurting physically, mentally, and emotionally? An American teacher who came to NZ a few years back, John W Ray, had a method of healing that he called body electronics, in which by inflicting pain on patients they would re-experience the pain of the injury, accident, evil deed, or whatever had brought or caused the disease, and if they re-experienced it on a physical mental and emotional level they could achieve miraculous healings, with several examples of people healing bone fractures in a few seconds. On my travels I had met many healers, and I had recognised that by far the best healers were several I met, like Harry Oldfield in London, Marcel Vogel in San Jose California, and the old NZ healer I met at Marcel’s lab in the Crystal Mission, who all healed with the Love of Jesus Christ. I remember asking John W Ray … “You say people need to experience pain to go through healing! But what about those people who get healed with the Love of Christ? Those people seem to be able to heal miraculously with No pain!” The good doctor asked me how much pain did I think Christ experienced on the cross, and made me realise, Yes, there was HUGE pain involved in His sacrifice!  Now again with the focus on Christ in this month of Mercy, and the story of how His Love brought healing to the Islands of Hawaii, these thoughts took on new dimensions of meaning.

After speaking to my Friend with the fractured shoulder for a while last night, and then remembering the words he should regard all else beside God as transient, and (he should) count all things save Him Who is the object of all adoration as utter nothingness I felt like finally doing what I had been meaning to do for a few weeks now; sit down and make notes on Steven Phelps 2nd Study group on the new book from the World Centre, The Call of the Divine Beloved, with the 2nd Workshop starting into the 1st 2 Valleys of The Seven Valleys; the Valley of Search and the Valley of Love.

The first comment I had to note was when Steven Phelps introduced his presentation talking about Shoghi Effendi writing in God Passes Bythat The Seven Valleys is Bahá’u’lláh’s greatest Mystical Composition, just as The Kitab-i-Iqan, The Book of Certitude, the source of the Tablet of the True Seeker was His greatest Doctrinal Composition, and The Hidden Words the greatest Ethical composition. He also mentioned a couple of source books for amazing elucidation and depth of understanding The Seven Valleys in a book by Julio Savi, who was already encountered in this month’s meditations, entitled Towards the Summit of Reality, published by George Ronald, and then Stephen Lambden’s commentary on the First Paragraph of The Seven Valleys, available online… Doing a google search on this I found in the Bahá’í Library online ‘After Taherzadeh, the most complete treatment is Stephen Lambden's "The Seven Valleys of Bahá'u'lláh: A Provisional Translation with Occasional Notes, pt. 1," in Bahá'í Studies Bulletin 6:2-3 (Feb. 1992), pages 26-74, where the first paragraph is translated literalistically. As this article consists of only one paragraph of trans. and 48 pages of notes, it can be seen that a full annotated treatment of the Seven Valleys could be over 1,000 pages!’ That would be something for another day I thought and moved on…

Still introducing the background to The Seven Valleys and many other Mystical works during Bahá’u’lláh’s 10 years or so in Iraq, including his two years living with the Sufis in the mountains of Kurdistan, Steven Phelps mentioned that Bahá’u’lláh became renowned amongst the Sufi mystics of His age not only as a Mystic but also an Alchemist, to whom many questions were asked, and letters written. It was exciting for me to discover that Bahá’u’lláh had produced a whole body of Tablets in answer to these questions, with detailed instructions on producing alchemical elixirs!

The goal of Mystical Sufi lore was the attaining of spiritual ecstasy, and the culmination in the final Valley of burning away the self and re-union with the Beloved was often addressed by the traditional Persian poets of old. Towards this final stage there is a mention in The Seven Valleys of the “4 stages of the heart” and many people believe that these 4 stages of the heart are covered in the Tablet known as The Four Valleys. This is mostly because in the first Persian publication of this in 1308AH or 1895CE – 3 years after the ascension of Bahá’u’lláh – of which Steven Phelps had a copy that he handed around the group – and in succeeding English translations, the Four Valleys are published immediately after the Seven Valleys. Because of this mistaken association, in this new book The Call of the Divine Beloved, the Seven Valleys and the Four Valleys are separated by some other Tablets, Steven Phelps said. In fact, he said, the Seven Valleys is a description of the 7 stages in the true seeker’s quest, whereas the Four Valleys describes 4 different types of seeker!

The Seven Valleys addresses and quotes many of the renowned poets of Persia and is mostly directed at The Conference of the Birds or Speech of the Birds which is a celebrated literary masterpiece of Persian literature by Sufi poet Farid ud-Din Attar, commonly known as Attar of Nishapur. The poem was about a flock of birds in search of the mystical bird known as the Simurgh, of which at the end of their search, in the final valley, there were 30 birds left remaining, and the word Simurgh means 30. The mystical meaning of this is that they discovered the union of the Lover and the Beloved in themselves. Steven Phelps points out that, in His answer to Attar’s poem, Bahá’u’lláh not only refers to individual transformation, the transformation of the individual seeker, but also His other theme is the transformation of society, the collective dimension, correcting some of the misconceptions of the Sufi Mystics who were asking the questions to which the Seven Valleys were directed.

For example, he corrects the belief of the Sufis that at the end of the trail of ecstasy there is re-union or fusion of the Soul with God, by affirming in The Seven Valleys that this is impossible, not only for humanity in general, but even for the Prophet Himself. There is a chasm between the Creator and the Created although the language of the Sufi Mystics brings them closer to each other. To further illuminate this teaching Steven Phelps then read some words of Bahá’u’lláh from Gleanings XXVI, which I recognised, having read them recently in Adib Taherzadeh’s Revelation of Bahá’u’lláh, and as they contained another mention of Jesus Christ, Who was very much present during this month of Mercy, I decided that they would be fitting words to round out and close the quest of the Beloved for the month of Rahmat Mercy.

The conceptions of the devoutest of mystics, the attainments of the most accomplished amongst men, the highest praise which human tongue or pen can render are all the product of man’s finite mind and are conditioned by its limitations. Ten thousand Prophets, each a Moses, are thunderstruck upon the Sinai of their search at His forbidding voice, “Thou shalt never behold Me!”; whilst a myriad Messengers, each as great as Jesus, stand dismayed upon their heavenly thrones by the interdiction, “Mine Essence thou shalt never apprehend!”

I had a feeling the chapter was not quite completed as I took a weekend off to visit friends, and on the drive I listened several times to a lecture given by William Henry, published by Zeg TV Hidden From the Public, entitled The Greatest Ancient Technology EVER Discovered and Its Almost Ready To Be Resurrected, in which this amazing teacher and explorer delivered some more revelations on Jesus Christ and rainbows, describing his discoveries related to the Rainbow Light Body.  Having studied religious art and iconography for many years, his presentation showed inspiring examples of art through the ages, from the Annunaki Inanna with her cloak and helmet, through time to the secrets of Tutankhamen’s golden tomb, down to Joseph and His multi coloured cloak and beyond to Elijah, and John the Baptist receiving Elijah’s rainbow cloak and then giving it to his cousin Jesus at His baptism.

Ancient Egyptian art showed Osiris with His ‘Karast’ garment while sitting on His feathered throne, and it was explained that this throne was in fact a Merkaba vehicle.  William Henry was not a only a great lover of Christ (pronounced in Nashville Karast!) through all of his 18 books to date, but was also a practitioner of the Tibetan Rainbow body tradition in which he was taught that “our body is designed to be spun into a vortex of energy that ultimately manifests as 5-colour Rainbow light, leaving behind only hair, toe- and finger-nails!” “Our soul is inhabiting an ascension vehicle” he said. The craft of the alchemist is to craft his light body, so he becomes a Whole Light Being. William Henry pointed out that in the Tibetan tradition this body of light is motivated by Vajra, which means ‘Compassion in Action”, and which also could be another expression of LOVE IS FORGIVENSSS revolving and motivating!

The Tibetan knowledge passed on by William Henry went a bit further than all of the other traditions, specifying that these teachings on the rainbow body and travelling across the cosmos are taught on 13 different star systems including our own, and that once we attain our rainbow body of light, any one of us can travel to any of these star systems! Then, appropriately to the discussion in this chapter about Christ, he came down to the Christ, and beyond to the Apostle Paul who said that the use of this spiritual technology forms a “shield of faith” a suit of cosmic armour or a ‘second skin’  that seals and protects us and also permits access to realms off limits to humans clothed only in ordinary skin. Tracing the teachings as they were carried in the Christian tradition, they came though Francis of Assisi, and then on to other Francis’s in history, such as Sir Francis Bacon, and his book “The New Atlantis”! (Hearing this 2nd reference to Francis Bacon in this month I took it as a sign to continue listening to DJ, including the rest of X58!)

Unfortunately the powers that be have taken the technological developments into the dark realms of trans-humanism, the merging of technology with the human species, and William Henry has written a free e-book about this challenge for the human species entitled The Skingularity is Near with a satirical title referring to trans-humanist Ray Kurzweil’s book The Singularity is Nearoutlining our choice between two paths; 1. the physical material path of developing a technological skin in a hybrid machine/human, or 2. the path of the Soul and rediscovery of our body of Light – something that has been known to initiates throughout history as exemplified in all sorts of art works in many different traditions, including this painting shown by William Henry, of Christ at His resurrection in His rainbow body of Light.

The focus for the next month, of Kalimat Words, will be on memorising Paragraph Number 6 of the Tablet of the True Seeker.

These are among the attributes of the exalted,
and constitute the hall-mark of the spiritually-minded.
They have already been mentioned in connection
with the requirements of the wayfarers
that tread the path of Positive Knowledge.
When the detached wayfarer and sincere seeker
hath fulfilled these essential conditions,
then and only then can he be called a true seeker.
Whensoever he hath fulfilled
the conditions implied in the verse:
“Whoso maketh efforts for Us,”
he shall enjoy the blessings conferred by the words:
“In Our Ways shall We assuredly guide him.”
